In conjunction with the United States Department of Agriculture's Forest Products Laboratory, we have developed a straw filler for polypropylene and polyethylene.
Agro-Plastic's advantages are:
* Processing temperatures are reduced to less than 400º F, decreasing energy costs.
* Cycle time is reduced up to 25%.
* Increased tensile and flexural strength.
* When compared to standard fillers such as talc, calcium carbonate and mica; |
o Specific gravity is lower. Less material is used to make each part.
o Since each part weighs less, shipping costs are reduced.
o Reduced wear and tear on molds. |
